CATLOC Overview
CATLOC is an exceptionally powerful software for Life Cycle Cost (LCC) / Life Cycle Profit (LCP) analysis and cost estimation. The use of CATLOC greatly facilitates the estimation and comparison of costs for development, acquisition, operation and support during the operative life of a technical system.The LCC/LCP concept is widely used within different industries to evaluate and balance the total costs related to a product over it’s life cycle. Systecon has pioneered the development of LCC methods and tools over the last 30 years, and CATLOC is the most recent distillate of Systecon’s extensive experience.
As different applications may require different LCC models, CATLOC allows the user to tailor the LCC model to match the needs of each specific project. Hence, the cost breakdown need not follow a predefined tree structure. To simplify the effort of building an LCC model, a set of standard template models is supplied.
The easy-to-use graphical analysis environment in CATLOC enables the user to easily compare different contractors, alternative system designs or logistics support solutions, as well as to identify cost drivers.
CATLOC is primarily designed to support the activities associated with the LCC methodology, but also adds great value to areas such as logistics support analysis and systems engineering.
